An Epiphany amidst the Abandonwares

~*28th April*~ (Night Time)

A friend came by the house to learn how to use DOSBox to play the old school games from abandonia.com...Thought him how, thanked me and left...Then I got hooked on the games he & I downloaded:

The Lost City Of Atlantis
To tell you the truth, I've never heard of this game before...Apparently, you're playing as MALE Greek NUDE character WHICH was designed by two WOMEN...haha...it sounded rather interesting, so I gave it a shot...not bad for a platform game...though the bad thing is, the game's in German...So...I'm not sure of the story...Didn't play very far...just fooled around abit...seems interesting though...from the description of the game, its during the Greek mythology era...with Poseidon, Harpies and Minotaurs...that sort...You might want to try it out. Hey, how many do you know where you play as a male nude character? LOL!

Double Dragon 2 & 3

Come on guys...Double Dragon?! Need I say more? Surely you've AT LEAST heard about it right? I downloaded it just for kicks...But I didn't remember the enemies being so damn hard...They beat the crap out of me before I could score a single punch! Crap!

Alien Trilogy
I've never played the game before...but I've always wanted to play after watching Aliens...(the second movie of Alien series) The idea using of professional bad-ass marines instead of civilians fighting the aliens were so cool! I've just played the game...great shoot 'em up game...simple & straight forward...The ambiance & the environment of the maps has the same feeling from the movie, Aliens...Great job! :) It would be great if they could make a cooperative game of Aliens...A squad of human marines (players) have to complete objectives while aliens swarm the entire base...Just like in the movie...The recent games of "Aliens vs. Predator" had the best tense feeling when you play as the marines...But too bad it doesn't have cooperative multiplayer...Please make a cooperative of Aliens! Anyone!?

Blood
Never played the game before...played the later versions of it...so I wanted to see how good the first one was...Turns out it was very bloody (literally) good! Duke Nukem(remember him?) attitude with a touch of black magic & demons...and bucket load of blood, guts & gore! If you're into Duke Nukem...you're gonna love this!

The Lost Vikings
A game from Blizzard Entertainment (You know, the one that brought Warcraft & Starcraft? YES! The SAME one! Surprised aren't you??) This game was very popular back then...(Blizzard, anything they do...It always turn to great games...you realize that?) The idea is simple, you control 3 vikings. Each has its unique abilities (Just look at the pic, and you can guess what they are) and you have to control all three abilities to get through the levels...Its really fun and enjoyable! A definite must to play!

Blackthorne
Woooaaaahhhh~! This is game among legends... Remember Prince of Persia?(the 2d platform one...not the 3D ones...) Okay, replace the "shabby-looking-rag-of-a-prince" into this "macho-long-jet-black-hair-biker-looking-guy" character, change the swords to shotguns and you have the coolest game ever during that era! LOL! The graphics were superb (I'm talking about back then okay?) , animations were good, monster details are excellent, puzzles were "not-so-challenging-yet-not-so-easy" kind, fantasy (Orcs & monsters) yet with science fiction into it(force fields, bombs & Orcs with shotguns?)...Okay, its a 2D platform game right? And you have this shotgun see...So you can only shoot enemies in front of you right? Wrong! You can lean against the background wall for cover! Roll towards you're enemy in the next screen, surprising them, and firing a bloody good shot at their backsides! AND the best of all...you can shoot enemies behind you by extending your shotgun arm towards your back while you're facing forward with "as-if-you-give-a-fuck-who's-behind-you" attitude! Totally awesome! Let's just say everything about the game is just so damn cool! How's that? Just download the damn game already & play it yourself!

After playing all these games, I had an epiphany...*poof!* on a new game idea! Weeee~! Took me awhile to fully grasp the ideas in me head...writing it down, finding the right words for it and all that. I have over more than 10 game ideas now(since high school)...There were actually a lot more...but some were lost, revised, scratched, or whatever until it was left to these few that I felt worth creating...I hope someday I could actually create them...Weee~!

Question about Mothers & Girlfriends...

~*28th April*~
Woke up pretty darn late that day...Must be because of the aerobics...LOL. Went to checked me bank...got money, but not sure which money...my work or um paycheck? No matter, think me budget this month is gonna be off again (with the car, mother's day, bills & all).

Anyways, me girlfriend asked about diploma in education. Looks like she's interested in becoming a teacher or some sort. Me mum (she's a lecturer in UM) says that the education sector is getting better...better pay, better benefits and all that...Oh okay... Good for her then :)
(I'm not inclining anything here...but the expression, "Men always marry their Mothers" just pop out of me head, all of a sudden. Should I be happy or scared shitless?* LOL )

* Reason being is that me mum has this legendary "look" when she's not happy about something...the You-Wish-You-Were-Never-Been-Born look? Heard about it? It's no myth...They exists...Worse than Medusa's gaze...See, Medusa's gaze just turns you to stone...But THE gaze could wipe out your very existence...Terrifying to behold...Although it's amusing to watch others becomes the victims...you could literally see the color drained from their faces!

So the question is...Does the expression, "Men always marry their Mothers" means that you're gonna marry an EXACT duplicate of our mothers? Two lecturers in the family is okay...but TWO deadly gazes of "non-existence"("death" was too underrated)  in one house? That's too much for a guy (or any mortal for that matter) to handle...

But I do love 'em both~! <-(Rest assured, I was not forced to write these words...)

Just realized I could use the glare thingy as part of my mother's day tribute...damn...haha!

I did aerobics today...LOL

~*27th April*~
Had to wake up early due to my promise to me mum & sis that I'll go with them for their aerobics at MPSJ. (Actually, I was forced to wake up due to their persistent attempts to disturb my beautiful sleep...)

Aerobics was fun. Some moves were awkward and some I couldn't even follow...too confusing or too fast for me...hahaha...but I enjoyed nonetheless...Afterwards, we went to Mydin to shop for supplies as well as having our breakfast...there goes my work out...hahahahha...

Wished a friend's birthday...a dear old friend...Happy Birthday dude~!

Had a drink with a friend...reminiscing about the old times and about the increasing number of our friends getting married...We hang about an hour or two before he had to go off.

Afterwards, another friend invited me to follow him with his bro & sis to Digital Mall. So of I went...It's because of the bloody heat...I couldn't sit still in the damn house...ngaha XD

At night, I waited to wish me cousins birthday at 9pm...she's at australia...time difference...you know the works...hepi birthday wee~! Her birthday is on 28th...so I thought I could wish her at midnight...haha...funny story. To know what happen, here's the chat log of what happened when I wished her:

[20:59] me: hepi birthday ! :D

well, that's all...Cheers!

Fun but I wasted it at the end of the day...Damn

~*25th April*~ Night-time
Had organized a gathering of friends to go play cyber cafe. Went well...I invited 9 friends, but 11 friends showed up! We played Quake Wars: Enemy Territory and The Specialist (Half-life Mod) for several hours. Although some showed up late & some had to leave a bit early but it didn't matter...we all had fun :) We're were the noisiest among all the patrons there...lol...I know, I contributed quite a lot of noise myself. I noticed on that day itself that when I get excited, I do tend to get very noisy...LOL

Afterwards, some of us went to Darussalam at ss15 for a drink or two for awhile and then we went back to our respective homes. Overall, I'll say it was a great success in terms of making it a fun night due to the surprising numbers of response. Worth the stress of organizing the darn thing.

~*26th April*~
Went to repair & service the car in the morning. When I went over to the car, I noticed that my other tire was flat as well. Oh crud...This is gonna cost me alot! Sent it over to the workshop, took the other car and head over to Selayang with the family. There's a...erm...a Completion of the Quran reading ceremony.

It was a very hot day, I was sweating profusely during the entire time at the ceremony. Some of our relatives followed us back afterwards, to see how's grandma doing.

Next, we went to pick up the car...A whopping RM700++! There goes half my newly arrived, yet long awaited, UM paycheck...*Sigh*

Then a friend invited me for a drink & asked me to invite another as well. So I did, the pal said he wants to follow but wasn't sure. Undecided, he asked me to wait for awhile. I notified my friend about the other pal's situation and told both of them I'll go for a car wash while waiting for me pal. Unfortunately, me pal couldn't make it. So after the car wash, I went off to meet me friends.

After the drinks, we went for another round at cyber cafe again. Wasted FIVE hours there...It was fun at first, played Company of Heroes...then Star Wars: Empire at War (although its quite an old game, it was something new to us, we haven't played this game before). That was fun, then we played Serious Sam 2...To me, that game is too damn long...all you do is kill,kill,kill...I think it was unneccessary actually to play that long (2 or 3 hours is ok, but 5 straight hours???). Don't get me wrong, Serious Sam games are fun...but only for a short while...If ONLY they installed new games...but hey, I was bored...

At least my thirst for cyber cafe has been more than satisfied...

Ahh~ The good ol' DOS Days...

Old Skool DOS Games...Can't get enough of 'em...

Tried some games from abandonia.com. Totally AWESOME! Miss the good old days...Some of the games description shows some history of the games...telling you this was the first game of its genre and such...Damn...how games grow so fast...Here's the games I tried playing:

Discworld - Its a point-and-click fantasy adventure game...really cool...Got this really nice British humour to it...You play as as Rincewind...worlds most inept wizard...hehehe...Nice story background...Your world is a disc planet (which is why its aptly named Discworld) on top of giant turtle flying across the infinite space...Now, tell me any games in this age who comes up with that kind of worlds? Oh, did I mention your inventory is a walking chest box?

Return to Ringworld - It's also another point-and-click adventure game. But its Sci-Fi! Notice any difference? (Ringworld, Sci-Fi? Discworld, Fantasy? I intentionally put them together...ehehehe) Its a sequel. Never played the first one, but I'll soon download it! I played the sequel when I was kid, somehow the story grips me...You know, those days when its cool to antimatter or whatever scientific names were cool? Here's the game for you...Hahaha...Although blur at first on what's happening, but there's a journal in there which helps to explain what happened in the previous game. The other cool thing is you get to somewhat control between the 3 characters in the game...Neat...

Battle Chess - This was my favourite chess game...I used to lose alot...But I like the animation when you managed to take down the enemy chess pieces...

Life & Death - This is game is not for those who have a weak stomach...LOL...Its a surgery simulation game! You know those days when you just like to operate stuff? Because it looked so damn cool when they do in the ER series? (Remember ER anyone?) Used to play this game alot...Tend to kill the patients all the time though...(Just found out NOW that you need to turn ON the antiseptic gas...hahaha...no wonder every time I poke my scalpel into them, they scream...) You have to diagnose your patients and see if they need medication, or observation, an x-ray scan perhaps...or when its necessary...OPERATE! WoohoO! Fun Fun! Gotten better in surgery...but they still die on the table though...For the life or me, I couldn't find where the hell is the appendix!

Amnesia - Now THIS is the bomb! Its a text-based game...No graphics, just text...For example, the text says you're in a hotel room and there's a phone on the nightstand...What do you do? You TYPE "Pick up phone"...The text will say you picked the phone up and ask who do you wish to call...The possibilities seems to be endless! Not only that...The story! My God!...I've never actually played any text-based games like this before...Get this: You woke up in a hotel room...and, guess what? You have no memory of who you are...I know, I know...It's so cliche...But the game just GRIPS you after you stumble out of bed...Try it out! You won't be disappointed...I haven't won it yet...Actually, I'm stuck in the middle of the streets in the middle of...urm...New York? I think...Don't know where to go...They (Reviewers of the game) say that they ask you to get a REAL map of New York (or whatever the city is...because I forgot), because the game's city is almost accurate...WOW!

Now you see why I like the classics? Graphics weren't important...The game, the story, the plot, the gameplay, the worlds, the characters, the pixels!!! LOL...It makes you glued to the game for hours!

Okay, I think I'm overreacting like a 10-year old boy here...But hey! The games those days were so much fun and entertaining!

Its not that graphics aren't important...They are, it's eye candy...Even I love looking at great real life-like graphics...But it's supposed to ENHANCE the game, not be the main feature of it...That's what I see in games nowadays, so much about their graphics that when its released, the gameplay somehow became dull or redundant. Please, focus on all areas of what makes games so much fun...the story & the gameplay. And while you're at it, bring back the adventure games...not RPGs...adventure games...Notice there aren't many left...Oh, it won't hurt putting back humour into the games...

Surprising Sadness

I was surprised when I received an sms from a cousin on dad's side last night...Asked if I'm going back to see grandpa...I haven't been in touch with any of them from me dad's side...Haven't talk, met, call or even sms...I'm not sure how long, but I think it's been that way for several years now...I know, what a jerk eh? Reason why? Me parents broke up several years ago see...If I'm not mistaken it was somewhere during my SPM ( a month or a week before it...I can't remember...) The two families relationship was strained...yada yada yada...make long story short...Haven't contacted dad's side of the family (except me dad) since...My bad...

I know I won't be able to follow if it's this Saturday...But I need to fix the car; the flat tyre (see previous post), it's time for the usual maintenance, radio display is gone AND the meters seems to be tuck...the car seems to be falling apart...Thank god the paycheck came at the right moment!

Although I'm not going with me cousin, but it got me thinking...Should I go and visit? It's been so long...I BELIEVE that if I did visit its with a "I'm here to visit" attitude, not the concerned "Are-you-okay" visit...you know what I mean? It's not that I can't to show any empathy...Me dad's grandparents were really nice to me...But ever since the divorce...I would be lying if I say I didn't feel anything...It was devastating to me, but worse to me sis...she was only 8 or 9 years old back then...To me, she was in a really bad state back then...But thankfully she seems to be handling it rather well over the years...She'll get back to her beautiful cheery self back if she wants to...I know she can :)

Anyways, back to the divorce thingy... you know there's always two sides of a story right? It was two whole ENTIRELY different stories...I got really really confused back then...plus during court, you had to choose sides between your parents...I think, that is the most toughest damnable thing a child could ever decide upon.

I was really upset at the time, but as upset as I was, I was more concerned for my sis...she had to go through all that at a VERY VERY young age.

But I'm proud and happy to say she grows stronger and stronger with each passing day... :) She'll grow stronger and happier soon enough. Perhaps the damage or wound is still there, but she will overcome or accept it soon enough. She'll be tough as mum. Gotta hand it to me mum though, she really is one tough lass...

I have no qualms at my dad about the divorce or him being married to someone else (he is, and I got two half-brothers as well, hehehe) ...Whatever he do is his business, all I know is he is still my dad...I respect him for being my dad. That's all. No strings attached. About visiting my grandfather? I'm still not sure...What do you think? He's in Muar, Johor.

Sick yet Happy

~*23rd April*~
Gotten a bit sick...sore throat...ugh...but that didn't stop me from smoking though...haha...Heard as well from dad that grandpa (dad's side) is getting really sick, he's in the hospital right now...His sugar level was said to be very low...Hopefully he'll be okay.

Went out with me girl for a drink...we had fun that night...She teased me because of this girl I recently had a crush on (I felt like I was a 10 year old boy being teased by a girl that I like this other girl, you could see me blushing and all that...hahahha)...So to be fair, I picked on her! Mwahahahaha! Revenge is sooooo sweet! Ngeee~ :D

~*24th April*~
Woke rather late today...my throat was very dry and it hurts like hell...but I still went to work, anyway...not that big of a deal. During at work, stomach didn't feeling too good though...

Got me a PART of me UM's paycheck! Woohoo! Can settle some of me bills! When I got back, went to bank in the check & bought ice-creams for Mumsy & Nini (me sis)...Dum-di-dum-dum-duuuuummmm~! (Totally forgot I was sick) Weee~! XD

Enter the Gate of No Gate...

Had to pick up a friend after work, he sent his car for repairs...Unfortunately, he had a last minute meeting...So I had to wait awhile...He's office is somewhere near Digital Mall...So I just wondered around there for an hour until he arrives...Had double IndoMee for my dinner...hahhaa...

We went to Summit and met up with another friend, and then we watched The Forbidden Kingdom. Not bad of a movie...Not bad of a movie...great kung-fu stuff...Come on man, Jackie Chan versus Jet Li? Storywise...not bad but could've been better...but just be prepared for intro...To me, its seems so damn cheap, like a B-rated movie or some sort. But as the movie progressed, it got better. Some really funny jokes though...Some were actually made to be funny, others...well...Just watch the movie okay? :)

Before the movie, they some really interesting trailers...The Incredible Hulk, a different Bruce Banner with a different story line...The Hulk himself looks fantastic! Better than the previous movie!

And my favourite...Indiana Jones! Woohoo! And it's still starring Harrison Ford! Thank god! He's the ONLY guy who can pull off as Indiana Jones (& Han Solo too!) ! Period!I was so thrilled when the theme song came up...but the intro of trailer didn't show his face...I was so scared and bummed out if it was someone else...Then there's the scene where he picks up his hat.... Oh yeah~! He's back! *whip crack* Yahooo~! Can't wait...Weeeee~!

Oh, you'll understand the Title once you've seen the The Forbidden Kingdom...You do realize that its TFK for short? LOL! XD

Geek Mode continued...

Shet, shouldn't have started playing that game...Now I'm hooked...Here's the continuation of what happen to me when playing Sid Meier's Civilization III game:

NOTE: There's heavy role-playing involved, so some stuff I talked about is not featured in the game...Just to spice things up...improve the story up a notch...that's all :) Enjoy~!

Nothing much was happening...except that the Japanese civilization was slowly declining...possible due to lack of resources...Their development were slow, almost stand still...stuck in the dark ages...Some Japanese cities even started to deposed their government and assimilated into the Persia...I didn't pity them...Quite the opposite,really...Planned for annexation of the entire Japanese nation into Persia actually...

Several wars sparked across the world, mostly involving the Greeks. The Greeks seems to want to pick a fight with everyone...America, India, Russia...But the wars themselves were short and only lasted about less than several years or so...

Persia reached the modern age...Oil was discovered and I immediately started constructing modern tanks & mechanized infantry units...Upgrading my previous rifleman units to mechanized infantry to further fortify my defenses.

Space race has begun! And I'm WAY ahead from the others...hehehe...

Factories were built, spewing out black smoke, pollution rises to critical levels, global warming began...green plains started turning into dry deserts. My advisors asked me to build more cities...current cities are being overpopulated and food is running scarce...Things are starting to get really bad, I need to expand my territory... so I formulated a plan.

I reduced my R&D(Research & Development) funds to further allow an increase to my military forces. That'll rouse enemy spies. They'll detect the military build up and notify their leaders, and their leader would contact me to form a military alliance...Hopefully the RIGHT one will contact me...

Got contacted by the Greeks (Yes! Got you!), they DEMANDED that I should helped them attack one of my allies...My spies told me that they're military forces greatly outnumber ours, and so that gives them the right to DEMAND? I refused to such an insult...They didn't take it lightly, their leader swore that I would pay for rejecting their demands...Hehehe...Just where I want them...

I contacted my neighbours; Leaders of China, Aztecs even the weak Japs for a secret meeting. I offer each of them what they want (technology, resources, gold, anything...) in order for them to sign the Mutual Protection Pact. They agreed to my terms and signed. Now to wait for Greece to come out and play...

Spies informed me that the Greeks proposed the Right Of Passage Pact with China, allowing Greek forces the right of passage through China towards Persia. Perfect! I secretly contacted China to accept the proposal. The pact was later publicly announced. Reports of a large Greek army mobilizing towards our Persian borders through China were reported everywhere. Let them come!

A LEGION of Greeks army amassed at the edge of my borders. Hoplites, Cavalries, Archers...Several companies at least...How outdated...Pathetic...

They marched forward into Persian lands...The phone rang, I picked it up. One of the governor of the nearest city at the edge of the border called me, telling me he himself spotted the oncoming army towards them...he sounded really nervous. I told him to relax and placed the receiver back in its place. I calmly went for the red phone, a direct line to the Greek nation's leader, waited patiently for the other end to pick it up.

"Yes?"

I smiled and calmly answered, " Your ground forces has just entered Persian territory, please remove your forces now".

"I told you what will happen when you defy Greece. This is what you get!" He laughed.

"You do realize that this is an act of war?", I asked.

"So be it..." and hung up.

You'll regret that decision for the rest of your life, you bloody bastard...

I put the phone down. Looked across the war room...Generals waited silently with trained discipline but were covertly fidgeting here & there...anxious to commence the war...I formed the words...savoring it..."Greece has declared war on Persia. Inform our allies that Greece is attacking Persia. Request for immediate military support." I watched as the war room exploded in activity. This is the beginning of the end, for Greeks reign of terror...

(Hahaha...I think my role-playing and imagination just went overboard back there...Sorry folks, must've gotten in the "mood"...heh)

In response, my Allies immediately declared war against Greece. The war was on.

The Greeks launched a siege against one of my city. The city held on, distracting the attackers as my army as well as China's army move into position to flank them. Without warning, they were surrounded...And without mercy, they were slaughtered...Mwahhahahahaha....

At the beginning of the war, the British (I'll get you later) & Greece formed a trade embargo treaty on my nation...Rotten bastards...Probably jealous because of Persian technology prowess.

No matter...The main battlefield was in Africa, the Chinese Nation had to deal with most of the battles against Greece. The Aztecs and me needed some time to deploy our army into Chinese territory towards the Greeks. The Japs were way behind...They're still mobilizing somewhere within my borders...

During the early stages of the war, I ran out of oil...I mean, oil deposits...Oil deposits ran dry...So no more modern tanks or mechanized infantry for me...so I had to instead build more infantry forces...they were cheap & fast to produce...started to take real good care of my few remaining modern tanks though...

A chain reaction of military alliances occurred...Even from the other side of the world would come and join the fray...Everyone wanted to get back on the Greeks...serves them right.

Other military alliances were formed:
China formed a military alliance with the Russians against Greece
Russians formed a military alliance with India against Greece
Aztecs formed a military alliance with America against Greece

It was a show of excessive force...China alone could have settled the war by themselves...It was overkill. It was a joint attempt genocide on a global scale.

Most nations sends out knights, horseman, swordsman, archers, pikemans & spearmans...all those medieval units...although technologically inferior than the Persians, but they do have the numbers to overrun us! At sea, some still even had galleon ships ...those nations which are advanced a bit further had the Ironclads, steam-powered sea ships...

Most surprising of all during the war, was how China became as almost as advanced as the Persians in military technology...with bigger and badder military forces with battlecruisers, carriers, WWII tanks, infantry units, WWII bombers...with some horseman & medieval units mixed into them...unexpected but impressive, yet a bit troubling for the Persians...Damn, we need to know more....

China somehow managed to cover their entire nation with a blanket from anybody who tried to take peek...Nobody knows what went on within their borders...Not even my spies, none of my spies actually had ever reported back. This was our chance to see what they've been up to as our armies moved towards the battlezone through their lands.

Reports flooded in that the Chinese are rich with natural resources and technologically advance as almost as we are, only a few steps behind. They're catching up...will have to deal with China later...

As our armies approached closer to the frontlines, our generals reported that they could hear tanks firing their cannon rounds, explosion as well as the soul-shattering screams from even this far away...It was the Chinese armed forces making mince-meat out of the Greeks...Like I said, China was enough...WE'RE the overkill...A joint task force to eradicate Greece. Everyone wanted some piece of the action:

Zululanders, China, Aztecs and our Persians formed the ground forces, decimating any opposition along the way. China and Persia provides the heavy artillery (Tanks, I mean), while the rest provides a vast range of infantry units. China mostly razed the cities while the rest of us occupied them. We need them to expand our own territory, China has more than enough land to support themselves...

China, & India as the naval forces were tasked to destroy any Greek warships & transports that were trying to send reinforcements to South Africa from Madagascar. America(several Galleon Warships) & me (a single battleship, had to assign the rest to guard Persian waters in case of sudden surprise attack from Greek allies...) would commence naval bombardments on Greeks coastal cities with China's air bombing raids from WWII bombers on carriers as aerial support.

It was like seeing a pack of vultures fighting among themselves to get the meat. Towards the end of the war, there left only 3 remaining Greek cities in South Africa; Sparta, Thermopylae and their capital city, Athens. We attacked Sparta first.

Their defenses were VERY strong...so strong in fact that after waves and waves of ARMORED ground forces to assault the city, Sparta still STANDS! Using ONLY hoplites and 1 or 2 companies of horsemen! Even AFTER I send TWO armor battalions of the most advanced modern tanks ever created for mankind! (Basically the strongest tank unit in the game) Thankfully my 2 armor battalions managed to retreat before they could finish the job. Phew! Surprisingly, not a single Spartan warrior died during the entire assault...Heh, a bit of 300 the movie here...Coincidently, the Persian leader, the player...yours truly...is named Xerxes...haha...but any resemblance to the movie lasted only to that point because after the initial assault failed...we didn't use hundreds of arrows that could blot out the sun...We used artillery shells instead.

Sparta had the worst brunt of bombardments in history (well, in this current game anyway) Air-strikes from Chinese WWII bombers from dozens of carriers offshore, with naval bombardments from at least 10 fleets of Americans Galleon warships cannons and from the Persians single modern battleship's artillery shells.

Imagine this, from the heavily fortified city of Sparta with a population of over 2 million, was reduced to rubble with less than 10,000 survivors from that ONE single concentrated joint attack. The combine might of nations was awesome to behold yet terrifying at the same time. China's ground forces went in, there were still some resistance, but were instantly put down, killed the remaining survivors and razed the city...Believing that Sparta would be too difficult for any nation to occupy and control. After witnessing Spartans incredible stubborn defiance, none argued.

The trade embargo between the British and the Greeks against the Persia ended. The Brits suddenly declared war against Greece. Cheeky backstabbing bastards...Other nations welcomed the Brits with open arms...We, the Persians, were not. The Brits and Persia had a long history of hatred for each other...ever since their deception several years ago...They'll get what they deserve soon enough...

Next target was their capital city, Athens. They fought back strong and hard, but it was soon clear that a prolonged siege against the city would eventually lead to their destruction. We took our time :) Eventually, Athens defenses faltered and was obliterated soon afterwards. Now for the final push...

Thermopylae - the last remaining Greek city in Africa...Their last stand to hold their grounds on African soil. The last city was heavily defended and reinforced further with constant supply of reinforcements from their nearby settlements in Madagascar. A naval fleet was present to protect the city as well as preventing any disruption on the reinforcement supply route.

Our Persian Battleship targeted their harbor and destroyed it in order to stop further reinforcements from coming while India, China & America naval fleets destroyed the Greeks warships & transports and formed a blockade around Thermopylae.

They were surrounded, outnumbered with no escape. Their last stand was admirable, we attacked the city on all sides and they did not falter. They kept on fighting back, valiantly and with no thought of surrender. They were overun after 2 years of constant siege assaults.

The Greeks were finally removed from Africa and reduced to Madagascar. Madagascar was constantly bombarded from joint navy fleets until the Greeks surrender.

Finally subdued, the Greeks surrendered and offered peace treaty to all the nations involved in the war. All the leaders gladly signed the peace treaty...The war is officially over. The once great menacing nation reduced into cinders...We will make sure that they will never be able revive back to their former glory self...ever again...

South Africa was in a state major restructuring. Each nation had staked some parts of South Africa. Each nation vying for more lands to claim control of South Africa, even the Japs. I won't be surprised if another war breaks out, but we need to be prepared. The Persians managed to occupy 3 Greek cities, any insurgents had been quelled. I even managed to set up a new settlement near an oil deposit, allowing further production of advanced military units.

Due to the worryingly increase of advanced military build up of China's military forces, I had funded a secret project, using slush funds during the war, that will make not only China, but also the ENTIRE world to acknowledge Persia as a powerful nation! How you ask?

InterContinental Ballistic Missiles...ICBMs...capable to be deployed to any parts of the world.

The Manhattan Project was completed several years ago by Persian scientists, but it was never utilized due to the catastrophic results it produced by a single atomic bomb detonation test. It was never utilized until now...the nuclear weapons program was reopened and refined with new ideas and technologies to enhance its nuclear destructive power. The ICBM was the final product.

The first ICBM nuclear silo is already underway, secretly built under my very own capital city, Hamadan. I'll use the space race event as a cover for the heavy activity of construction...nyhehehe! The Persian Nation WILL have nuclear missile capabilities. I will make Persia known to the world as a force to be reckoned with...The world will acknowledge Persia...Mark my words! Mwahahahaha!!!

Wokeh...time to go to sleep...the game will need be continued later...have to go to work tomorrow...zzZzZzz
