No Skool Like The Old Skool

I suddenly wanted to look up on old games...Anyone interested in some really REALLY old school games? A friend gave me the website, check it out here . It's also on me links...Just got that nostalgic feeling of playing classical games, there were so much fun...Games were really more focused on the gameplay rather than the graphics...Sigh...miss those days...hahaha

Oh anyone interested in boardgames? No...not monopoly or chess...there ARE other types of boardgames out there...The best so far I've played is Twilight Imperium...I've only played it once but it was really a cool game...check it out. To those interested in boardgames check it out here or on me links...

Ok, another reason why I'm looking at old games is that my PC can't handle the latest games...One reason I hate about PC is the constant updates needed to play the games...But if I had the money, that won't be a problem...Anyways, the games these days (PC or consoles) don't seem to have the "kick" for it...Other than some of the famous awaiting titles, every other game seems to be rather dull...And it seems to me its a race of which company could beat the other company with better graphics or with game features...What happen on focusing on the gameplay??? Or the replayability factor?

The best example I could think off would be the racing games...First, it was just a racing game...Then came the fast & furious movies...Game companies started putting modding features to the car...Then came the nitros...Then came the free-roaming feature whereby you can drive anywhere on the map...Then they added the crashing-the-car-into-bits-like-Burnout feature...and now you can see ALL the racing games out there has the SAME thing...It's getting really boring to play racing games these days...

And what the hell happen to cooperative games? There used to tonnes of cooperative games in the past...nowadays its more of the team-oriented deathmatches...Team deathmatches are fun and all...but cooperative games are fun too! Especially when there's an objective involved, that makes the cooperation among players even more fun! The players would think and work together to complete the task that they were given. Examples of great cooperative games that I know of recently is still the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon Series...They should make more cooperative games...not only for first person shooter genre, but as well as adventure games, strategy and role-playing games.

Just miss the old days of gaming...More to the games than racing who has the best graphics or features...
